Dewdrops N Dandelion Seeds by Kathryn Lee

Features

ARTIST NOTES: 41.8cms W x 29.5cms H - Dewdrops n Dandelions Seeds is my interpretation of the dance of the dandelion seeds as the gentle breeze blows in the early hours of the morning, the dewdrops glistening in the amethyst haze. Their delicate beauty is emphasised by the fine lines of the Watercolour on the dandelion seeds, and Iridescent Watercolour shows the shape of the dewdrops in all their beauty. Created with lots of love and patience on 300 gsm Canson Montval paper. My thanks go to Inspired Images for the photo which triggered my imagination on this journey, and @insituartroom for their room displays

ARTIST BIO

I am an Australian artist living in Sydney.

My love of colour has taken me on a journey through ceramics, textiles and fibre art, to find my true passion- painting and drawing 🩷💜🩷

Originally working in watercolour, charcoal and inks, I now create most of my art in acrylics on canvas - which means they don't need to be framed.

My work has been exhibited and sold at the Sydney Art Show, Sydney stores, online, and art virtual and live art shows. I enjoy the opportunity to meet my followers in person at these events.

I draw inspiration from Nature and get beautiful florals. I hope you like them

My paintings have been accepted into art shows, art competitions and awards. I was selected to participate in The Australian Watercolour Muster 2021, and invited to take part in the 6th Annual International Salon of Painting at the Menuinda Schneider Gallery in LA. I have also been a featured guest artist on an art website, and my artworks hang in many homes around the world.

I am on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/klkatlee

My aim is to bring affordable, original art within reach of the average Australian family, and to encourage children to experience the joy to be found in creativity.
