Hercules The Cranky Maine Coone Cat by Kathryn Lee

Features

ARTIST NOTES: 41.8cms H x 29.5cms W. Meet Hercules the Maine Coon cat. Hercules
thinks he’s rather special because of his breed, his beautifully groomed long hair, and his stunning blue eyes, but he’s not looking very happy at themoment, is he? In fact, he looks quite cranky. I wonder why? Was the food not up to standard at lunch, or has someone sat in his favourite chair? We may never know.. Hercules was created in charcoal on 300 gsm paper, with
watercolour eyes. Thanks to Helen Jane Peppe for her inspirational photo, and @insituartroom for the room displays.

ARTIST BIO

I am an Australian artist living in Sydney.

My love of colour has taken me on a journey through ceramics, textiles and fibre art, to find my true passion- painting and drawing 🩷💜🩷

Originally working in watercolour, charcoal and inks, I now create most of my art in acrylics on canvas - which means they don't need to be framed.

My work has been exhibited and sold at the Sydney Art Show, Sydney stores, online, and art virtual and live art shows. I enjoy the opportunity to meet my followers in person at these events.

I draw inspiration from Nature and get beautiful florals. I hope you like them

My paintings have been accepted into art shows, art competitions and awards. I was selected to participate in The Australian Watercolour Muster 2021, and invited to take part in the 6th Annual International Salon of Painting at the Menuinda Schneider Gallery in LA. I have also been a featured guest artist on an art website, and my artworks hang in many homes around the world.

I am on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/klkatlee

My aim is to bring affordable, original art within reach of the average Australian family, and to encourage children to experience the joy to be found in creativity.
