Deirdre Fitzgerald was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1958.
Deirdre lives in Melbourne and in the early years spent weekends on the Mornington Peninsula surfing, swimming and more recently scuba diving and free diving. She has a deep love and respect for the ocean and is a keen environmentalist. These days she spends her time travelling the world with her retired husband and between her children living in ACT, WA and SA Outback.
Deirdre’s passion for art began at Kilbreda college under the guidance of art teacher, Faye De Pasquale. She has learned in recent years from Manwel Cassar and Vicki McInness at Glen Eira Cheltenham Art Group. After a long absence she is back at it and is currently a student at GECAG under Sandra Marasco and Malvern Artists’ Society under Susan O’Brien.
