ARTIST NOTES: This is a digital painting I did originally for my daughter Maddison. She requested a golden field with a stormy sky. I thought about Vincent’s Van Gough’s wheat field with crows and how it is thought of as one of his last works. This storm and golden field I call ‘Not a Murder’ which is a little joke about a flock of crows or more than one crow , which is actually ‘called a murder’ lol. I feel that the single crow represents the beginning of a young woman’s journey (my Maddie) through adulthood and the storm is the battles she will face along the way. The golden field is light and bright just like her and this picture was a gift from ‘her Mum’ who is coming to terms with her daughter becoming a young adult. And I have done, however she will always be my little Moo Moo 🐮.
