Tonia Sanft 

Australian artist

Tonia paints a variety of genres and styles from impressionist landscapes and seascapes and colourful abstracts to contemporary nudes.

She applies colour and texture to capture the sheer beauty of nature, the play of light and its extraordinary colour and movement.

Growing up in Sydney, a large part of Tonia’s leisure time was spent by the ocean, on the beach. She loved spending time idly watching the moods, colours and movement of the waves. Fun times, basking in the sun and swimming at beaches, such as Era Beach, a remote, little beach in the Royal National Park, and at Sydney beaches, Cronulla, Bondi, and Coogee. It was here where her beach and ocean inspiration developed.

Recently living in Melbourne, she is drawn to the beauty of the beaches of Port Phillip Bay, and the back beaches of the Mornington Peninsula.
